The solo riff is just Joey playing D on his lurvely<br />
modified bass while Karl goes for it - Almost Shankle-esque.<br />

Thats pretty much it in a nutshell.<br />

A trick to emulate the solo sound for Bass players is to<br />
run your bass signal to 2 seperate destinations :-<br />
1 Clean amp and<br />
1 Dirty amp and simply play an octave up<br />
<br />
Id put money down that Joeys tech does it like this or side chains<br />
the bass signal to some magical compressor that make distorted bass<br />
controllable and good!<br />
